Fondation Émergence announces that Desjardins has officially joined the Ally Network to promote greater inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals in the workplace. Through this partnership, Desjardins will provide its teams with training, practical tools, and access to an online learning platform. This initiative addresses ongoing challenges related to discrimination and the workplace environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly transgender people. It is part of a collaboration spanning more than ten years between the Fondation Émergence and Desjardins.

The 2026 Laurent McCutcheon Scholarship is an initiative by Fondation Émergence designed to support projects and initiatives that contribute to the defense of LGBTQ+ rights in Quebec. Their visible support shifts mindsets, creates a critical mass, and counterbalances the vocal hostile minority. Through their many small, combined actions, allies foster an inclusive society and protect hard‑won progress.

In 2024‑2025, LGBTQ+ rights are retreating in many countries through discriminatory laws, rising violence, hateful rhetoric, and declining social acceptance. Confronted with this global backlash, the mobilization of allies is essential.
